Lance is a Certified Engineering Technologist and Biochemist, and a renowned professional in the field of asbestos management. With a wealth of experience spanning over 24 years nationwide, Pizzarello’s expertise is instrumental in equipping industry professionals with the complexities of asbestos management knowledge. His unique blend of academic knowledge and practical insights provides a solid foundation for understanding the intricate nature of asbestos and its health implications.
To comply with upcoming legislation, MBC Group also offers work certification to ensure compliance with new licensing requirements from Bill 5, which takes place in January 2024. By sharing this knowledge and raising awareness, MBC Group aims to contribute to a safer and healthier working environment.

Lance is proud to host comprehensive training that caters to various roles and responsibilities within the industry. These courses focus on comprehensive knowledge and insights into asbestos-related issues, covering topics such as the identification of asbestos-containing materials, health risks associated with exposure, and current regulations governing asbestos management.
The Level 1 - Foundational Awareness course is a WorkSafeBC Authorized Asbestos Abatement Training course that provides a solid foundation with 6 hours of virtual live instructor-led training and a 1-hour in-person exam. For those directly involved in asbestos abatement work within British Columbia, the Level 2 - Asbestos Safety course is a five-day program that equips participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to safely handle asbestos, in compliance with WorkSafe BC regulations. The Level 3 - Asbestos Safety Leader course is a two-day program designed for supervisors and others who are responsible for ensuring health and safety at asbestos abatement worksites. Finally, the Surveyor Safety course is a four-day program for anyone who performs asbestos surveys within BC.
Beyond this training, Lance also emphasizes the importance of staying informed through continuous training sessions. “Regular updates on regulations, techniques, and equipment are crucial to equip workers with the necessary knowledge for safe asbestos handling.”
